CHEST BOX - $199 + $10 for Amp stars3.gif (221 bytes)

CHESTBOX TEMPLATE 100% SCALE - click here!

This Chestbox is the GT version with the 'breathing' chip technology, the box comes as a kit which you have to build, you do have to take your time marking, drilling and glueing, but it's well worthwhile and will give you a real feeling of achievement when complete. The design is based on the ROTJ box, it has pulsing LED's and to get the best from the breathing kit you will need an amp of some king, here is the Radio Shack version (notice that we have attached a mobile phone belt clip assembly to the amp using araldite!! - Below Pictures...

The device comes with the output cable already attached to the PCB, however, this cable if not attached to something will ultimately break from the board solder due to stress, therefore we used a solder iron to melt a small channel into the box housing (left pic), we then superglued the cable into the housing channel, this not only removes all stress from the solder point but keeps the cable in a secured position. The device works with 4 x AA batteries, they do last for a long time, powering both LED's and breathing, there is an LED on the back of the board and 2 switches, the first switch is the recording control, simply place the board near your source and hold this button in for a maximum of 20 seconds (the LED lights while recording). Simply press the play button and you get the sample continuously looped AND it's crystal clear, we used the same sample that plays on this site, if you need the sample, e-mail us! - Below Pictures...

We have played about with the positioning of the amp for the best overall sound results and it sounds best when the amp is directly at the back of the costume, on your belt but right at the back, this seems to make the sound flow round the capes and gives a perfect all-round effect!!
