COD PIECE TEMPLATE 100% SCALE - click
here!
This is the piece that you will feel the most satisfaction from completing correctly, it
starts with drawing a template onto card, then transfering this onto 0.5mm wood, once done
and cut out, slice the template into 4 sections (imagine that this will allow the board to
wrap around you!), re-attach with small bracket hinges. Now cut the exact same shape from
1" thick foam, glue this to the front of the piece, now the hard part...
Take your 'leather look' material and cut out the template shape, BUT with 2" extra
all-round, now you have to stretch fit the leather all the way round the piece, using a
staple gun to attach, this has to be done very slowly and very accurately, check the piece
every inch or so to make sure that the material is not pinching - you want to finish with
a super smooth look and NO CREASING!! - Below Pictures...

The downloadable instructions will give you a much better idea of how to
create this piece, determination and a steady hand are the key, but look at the quality of
the leather - Below Pictures...

Attaching the cod piece is done by creating a belt loop harness, have a
main belt going from side to side, to this attach another loop belt going under the groin
area, this will stop the piece from moving away from you while wearing, we have used a
standard luggage belt - Below Pictures...

Here is a shot of the inside of the piece, see the belt actually runs
across the piece, the clip is on the right-hand side. you slip your left leg into the harness, then lift it to your waist and
secure the belt at your right hand side, this is an incredibly stable harness - Below Pictures...
